Does this sound familiar?

Life can feel overwhelming and complex at times, and despite our best efforts, we can find ourselves stuck in the same old patterns. You may know that something needs to change, but not quite know where to begin, leaving you feeling disconnected from yourself or the people around you.

You don’t have to have everything figured out before coming to counselling. Through therapy, we can work together to understand the root of these patterns and explore new pathways toward healing and connection.

Hi, I’m Desiree

I've always been curious about people — why we feel the way we do, why certain patterns continue to show up in our lives, and how our experiences and relationships shape who we become.

Bringing this curiosity into the therapeutic space, I take a warm, genuine, and collaborative approach to therapy. My work is trauma-informed, attachment-focused, and grounded in a whole-person perspective.

Before becoming a counsellor, I spent many years working in massage therapy and yoga. Through this work, I developed a deep appreciation for the connection between mind and body, and the value of making space for both in therapy.

My Approach to Therapy

Whole-Person

I consider the connection between your experiences, emotions, relationships, the body, and nervous system rather than focusing only on your symptoms.

Collaborative

Therapy isn’t something I do to you. We work together to understand what's happening and find an approach that feels right for you.

Compassionate

I believe meaningful change starts with feeling safe enough to be yourself. I offer a supportive, non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted as you are.

Tailored to You

There is no one-size-fits-all approach. I draw from different evidence-based and experiential therapies depending on your needs, goals, and preferences.
